Wondering if anyone has a Qwerty keyboard template for a T2c in a landscape fashon they would be willing to share (hold the remote sideways to use)
TIA

Well, I would assume there are more out there, but I created this one for a specific job & I have been using it ever since.

There are both Letters & Numbers/Symbols.

Each button has a "Pressed" & "Un-Pressed" state.

107 custom buttons in all!

Here is a sample:

----------------------------

I have two versions, one with all the individual buttons, to create your own layout, or an exact copy of the above screenshots, setup as an RTI Template, with all the links & pressed states active.

Let me know if this is what you were needing...

Damn Joey, you've got everything whenever anyone asks!

If it's not in a QWERTY setup, why bother making the customer turn the remote sideways to use it? Why not just make it in a 'portrait' setup?

I end up making so much of this stuff on site, I hate return trips.

The customer was not computer savvy & the simple a-b-c layout was best for them.

The Qwerty layout is 10 keys in the top row, 9 in the second & 7 in the last row.

Fitting these buttons vertically or horizontally at 10 in a row is very tricky, I find that these touch screens do not respond as nice as an ipod touch.

I figured that fitting all 26 letters on one page, and numbers/symbols on another was better than sacraficing buttons space on such a small screen.

Oh well.

Question .......Why not include keyboard functionality into an up sell package to a more appropriately sized remote for your client?

Below is only my opinion on the subject:
It's obviously do-able. But ergonomically it just seems it would be awkward for the client to have to turn the T2-C remote sideways for for some controls but have it upright for others. Also aesthetically, in page design terms, you run a high risk of the screen just being to crowded with small buttons. JoeyCes's did a good job in his example above. It does look good for what it is, but I agree with his response about spacing and button layout limitations and also screen response .

I would recommend you use this to your own advantage and give yourself the opportunity to make and appropriate up-sell that will help a client and yourself out.
I'm sure you could creatively come up with a few other things in that same program as other examples for the client that an upgraded remote screen size would help.
Peace - It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.

I simply meant this... Why did you do it sideways when it could've been like this:

ABCDE
FGHIJ
KLMNO
PQRST
VUWXY
ZSPACE

I was only questioning why you would turn the remote sideways for this. I'm fine with the alphabetical layout considering the screen layout limitations

Simply, the cool-ness factor.

Customer was a big fella. I created this originally for the T3. Using the Horizontal layout allowed me to use larger button layouts for his bigger fingers.

I see what you mean, if you just spin the letters, then that would work for smaller fingers as well.

Good idea! =-)
