I tried posting this on AVS Forums but got no replies.

I'm trying to setup a new Sofabaton X2 remote. The device I want to add is a LG OLED55E8PUA display from 2018. The tv uses RF for the magic remote to communicate with the tv. The problem is the Sofabaton app needs the actual RF operating frequency of the original remote.

Its suggestion of checking the back or battery compartment did not help. I can't seem to find this data thru a search on-line. I even contacted LG service support, but such departments are mostly worthless in my view in recent years. As expected, the off-shore team couldn't assist. The manufacturer doesn't have the info. Incredible.

Does anyone have this vital data? Supposedly, the tv will accept some basic IR codes (On/Off, Input switching?) but I would prefer getting the full functionality of RF. The last resort is laboriously learning each original remote button one by one.

I’m not familiar with Sofabaton. Does the unit offer a database of IR commands? if it does, most of the codes for recent LG sets should work.

If I couldn’t quickly find a useful database, I’d just manually learn the codes. However messy this might seem, in terms of total elapsed time, this would be the most efficient use of my time.
