My boyfriend just got scammed at a gas station in Canton, Ohio. We live about two hours away from the actual location of the store and called the guy immediatley after my boyfriend got here and told me about what happend. The person who sold it to him gave him his cell # and everything but of course didn't answer when we called back and the voicemail is "not set up". When i called the actual store the guy "Dave" told us in order to return it we have to drive there ourselves so that we will do. We leave for vacation soon and this is just a unfortunate thing to happen. My boyfriend is far from stupid but just thought it would be cool to sell them on ebay or something and make some money but instead it looks like he's the one who got ripped off.

I looked up the address on the receipt and the address of the actual Avalon Distributors which is different and its about one block away from the actual store so I am wondering if the address is a fake on the receipt? \

He paid the guy 300 and for some reason the guy wrote 400 so hopefully we'll make some money instead of these scum bags. Dads an attorney so hopefully he can get us out of this mess if we cant ourselves. Thanks to all of the info on here I think im pretty well prepared to bust these guys haha. Any advice on the return let us know! I'm hoping we won't get there and have them say something is missing from the package and not return it. Lawsuits will come flyin if they try that !!

I just got cheated by these guys too ($400). Yeah, sucker.... Anyhow, they are driving a Grey Durango and hit me at the kinkos parking lot on sunrise / trade center. The sales guy is Steve who has a tatoo on his neck that says "Good" and the drivers name is Nate. All this is probably all bogus but it helps when they try to scam others. Filling out the police report today to catch these guys.

LOL, I judt got ripped off for 300. Somebody needs to put these guys on the news or something!! I think im gonna call channel 2 News Houston and have them catch these guys or expose this scam. Neways imma try to sell my speakers i need money for school so i dont feel too bad selling them to somebody. I want at least 200 i think thats fair. Shame on me, i should have known better. I'm so glad i learned this leason early in my life. Now i can make sure i tell other people about my stupid mistake. Oh well (i feel like a moron)

jlhm51, i'm usually not one to be mean, but you indicated that you need the money for school... by school do you mean a college or university? Some advice after reading your post... either drop out of school and save the money, or spend more money and find an english tutor. Scary to think you ever graduated high school with those writing skills.
