How much did you pay for it nairblet?

Daniel, that is throwing good money after bad I'm afraid. This system is self amplified. Would be better to buy a HTIB and start over.

My favorite scheme (not scam) strikes again. I always see the "white van" speaker guys driving around town. Last time they got me at a bank drive through. I told them I wanted them but I needed to get my check book from my office around the corner. They pulled up, saw our sign and drove off quick. I can't believe people still fall for this. However I do have a 27" tube television that sell for about $3000 that I'd like to unload for about $500.

I just got that same system today. I live in San Antonio, and two guys in a Ford Explorer said they bought 2 extra systems. They showed me the shipping order and that it was paid for. They also showed me the magazine that retails they system for 2500 dollars. I paid 300 and got screwed. Wow i am an idiot.

this was just on our local news today, interviewing someone who bought a set of floorstanding then got home and realized he paid 400 for a $90 pair of speakers. Made me laugh cause people have been trying to sell me these speakers off and on for the last 3 years.

There must be 20 some guys, all with 1 or 2 posts, who are fessing up to falling victim to the same scam. Where the hell are you all coming from, and why all only have 1 or 2 posts? Did you do a google for "I got scammed by a white van" or what? :)
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

I too was taken for a ride on this theater logic speaker system. the two guys who sold it to me were driving a green 2004 chevy astro van with beige interior the mileage on that van was around approx 38,000 miles. the driver of the van was a white male in his mid twenties with short dark brown hair and blue eyes and weight was aprox. 150lbs height was aprox. 5 feet 6 inches. the passenger was a white male in his mid thirties with short blonde hair approx weight was 180 lbs height approx 6 feet tall. these guys are real good con artist. They had a invoice that they showed me and told me that when they picked up there order from the ware house they noticed after they had left from picking up there merchandise that the ware house gave them one to many speaker systems and needed to get rid of one so he don't look like a stupid idiot in front of his boss when he returnes back to the company where hey supposely works at in (Golden Co.). He also showed me a magazine from HDTV ETC WITH A MSR PRICE OF $ 2499.00 for the same home cinema speaker system that showed in this magazine. I did ask them why don't they keep it for them and the drivers reply was I don't know any one in colorado springs to hide it for me. these guys were very persistant on selling it they kept on telling me that you are geting a very go price on it. the price they wanted was $ 250.00 I told them I only had $220.00. like an idiot I bought it thinking wow I really got a good deal on this home speaker system until I went to investigate how much are they going for on the internet until i stumbled on to this web site. and doing a google search and finding out it was only worth $49.00 to $65.00. as of June 22, 2005 i used the passengers cell phone to call my father in law for more money and I got a good number off the caller id for the passenger his name was John Ferwalt and his cell phone number was 1-(972) 838-8810. the area code is from dallas texas so I assume he's from dallas texas. the place were i bought this merchandise was from colorado springs on june 22, 2005.

Jeez, this guy sounds like a freakin spy as accurate as he detailed the chance meeting and departing of his money(insert fool). Makes you wonder if this guy is so observant in his everyday life, why he couldn't tell the speakers aren't worth crap and the dudes selling them to him were not on the up and up.

Or maybe YOU wrote it with a new name. I'm starting to wonder how many of these posts are real.

That's Great! The SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME in Boulder, Co. Except I talked him down to 200$, he really wanted 600$ and for me to buy these great tall speakers. I haven't set mine up yet, because I have to buy a reciever to make it work. Does your's work right? Did you ever find anything more out. He also gave me his phone number and said since he was giving me such a great deal I needed to take him out for margirittas. He said his name was Zach and he worked for Okra Distributers or something. These guys probably just stole this stuff, but it is weird that Theater Logic doesn't have a website or anything. please let me know what you can. Thanks

i believe you mean bipolar. schizophrenia is a beautiful mind-type stuff.
anyways, i got scammed as well here in denver, right next to a bank like everyone else (crazy how that works out). but yeah the guy wrote down "info" on a deposit slip at the bank and also said he worked for orka. i called the number (3032771929) about five times before someone actually picked up. he answered the phone by saying they were some kind of refridgerator repair place. "yes, is this orka distributers?" i asked. "yes, this is orka dist." he said. okay that was weird. i could hear what sounded like a bunch of college kids partying in the background, and i was like "yeah, we just met in a king soopers parking lot, you sold me a theater logic L6. i want my freaking money back!!" hes like "wait who is this? i'm chris [or somethin like that] who are you?". i say, "thats beside the point, i want my $200 back". so then the jerk is like "okay, i dont even know who you are. i identified myself, dude, and here you are trying to ask me out or something." so i just hung up. those guys are jerks!!!

so now i have my L6 hooked up to my computer (no one's mentioned that yet) because my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 card has three different outputs (3.5mm) that are for front l&r, rear l&r, and center/subwoofer, which is exactly what the l6 is. so i bought 3 3.5mm to rca cables, hooked up some better speakers to the subwoofer, and it sounds great!
