I have a ctx ezpro 610 projector and I am getting really agravated by what you might call interference. Basically while I am watching a movie or whatnot I am getting a constant rolling bar sequence through the picture. Its not a heavy black bar or anything but rather like a scrolling darker contrast bar running from top to bottom. Im using a fairly high quality shielded s-video cable so im thinking it might be originating from the power source. I am simply connected from the wall directly to the projector.

Any ideas on how to correct would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a possible power supply filtering problem. I have a Sony Beta VCR that does the same thing. A faint gray bar about 1/4 picture height scrolls up the screen, and takes about 15 seconds per "trip". Try a power-line filter.

I actually found the problem to be coming from the catv, once unhooked from the wall the ground loop is eliminated and the interence disappears. Well as we all know coax f-connectors are a pain in the ass to connect and reconnect so I had to find a solution to "turn off" the cable. I found some in-line products that eliminate the loop but could possibly cause problems with digital cable etc...besides they cost anywhere from $50-100. A low cost option was needed and fast because I just simply cannot ignore the scrolling hum bars.....Off to Radio Shack where I found my solution, a coax A/B switch. simply connect the cable through the A side (leaving the B side empty) and when i want to use the projector turn the switch to B, and the catv gets turned off and i can enjoy my movie.....all for $7.48.

Larry, Beta? Next thing you are going to tell us about is the 8mm VCR and the DAT player you have hooked up.
