I purchased a generic MCE remote with included IR adapter for use with XBMC. I used my daughter's RM-AV2500 to learn the commands but I'm having issues with the directional arrows. Holding down the arrow keys on the MCE remote will cause the menus to navigate smoothly and quickly. But I don't get the same response from the learned commands on the AV2500.

For example, holding the left arrow key on the av2500 will only move the menus to the left once regardless of how long I hold it down. Left will only respond again after pressing the right arrow key but again it only moves right once.

I've tried learned the commands by just tapping the MCE remote as well as holding the buttons down. I'm guessing the issue is with the MCE remote and/or IR receiver because I've tried it with a RM-AV3100 as well and I have the same issue.

I was just hoping someone might offer some suggestions on what else I can try before I buy another MCE remote.

Thanks!
