For controlling my Philips 42PFL8404 I would like to have keys to directly select one of the external inputs (normally you have to scroll through a list of 10 entries).

The original remote does not offer these direct codes, but I know they exist as part of the RC5 command set and my TV would understand them.

For HDMI1 and HDMI2 I have been lucky: The Sony RM-VLZ620 code 01454 provides these on the "|<<" and "<-o" keys.

Can anyone help me with the codes for directly selecting the AV1 and AV2 inputs ?

You might have to learn the discrete codes from another remote. I picked up a Harmony 200 for this exact reason. You can put the discrete code on the Harmony, and then learn it on to your 620.

Harmony 200s are cheap.
