I'm having trouble changing the Mode Display Key which is detailed on pages 79-81. I can easily change the Label keys. I get to step 4 and then it states "To change the component name on the Mode Display Key: Keep the Mode Display key on which the component name is displayed pressed for more than 2 seconds. The Commander enters the component name changing mode. Input the name on the Mode Display key. Follow steps 2-5 on page 24."
So I'm assuming in step 4 you press and hold one of the component keys like say STB and it is supposed to switch to the name changing mode. I've tried this on 2 remotes and neither enters this name changing mode. If I press and hold STB all I see is DEL and STB and the 4 label keys at the bottom. As I say, I can easily change the label keys but I want to change the Mode Display key in the upper right hand side of the display. Since 2 remotes don't seem to work as per the manual I'm wondering if there is a secret I'm missing. Any ideas?

You select the component and THEN hold the name at the top of the screen to edit it.

THANKS!!! You know, I spent all night trying to figure that out. B-) Sony really needs to work on the manual. I see where some folks have the manual in pdf format. Do you know where I can download it?

The PDF version won't be any clearer! :-) Though I did write up my own, quick version of the instructions at the end of the review.
