Just purchased this remote yesterday and have a Zenith VCR. The manual only has one code for Zenith and it isn't working. Any suggestions?

Where do I find instructions to program my remote control? I also have a Zenith VCR and a RM-V8A remote, but have lost the instructions for the remote. If you can help me with the instructions and code I might be able to help you trouble-shoot your problem. Quid pro quo.
