Hi Folks -

Just moved into a place that had Dish Network instead of cable. Anyone know the control code for Dish Network box made by Echostar? The SONY site was less then helpful. (The appear to be in bed with DirectTV or something...)

If you can email responses, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks
Rue

My Dish Network receiver didn't have a code. I manually programmed the buttons I needed. Wasn't too bad. I have a PVR unit (like TIVO) built into my reciever. I wish the remote had more buttons to mimic the PVR/Receiver commands, but I still had no problems. I just have to remember which buttons I used for programing.

Dish Network uses UHF for its newer units and there are really no remotes I have seen that will work with this. I should qualify myself by saying no remote under 150 dollars will work with this. Because this is the most I would ever pay for a remote, and even that is high.
The older DishNetwork units such as the older 301, uses IR.
I have the codes for the sony 2100 is ---- 010* ----
* = as of 1998

If you would like to buy my 2100 , or know someone who would, I would not mind selling it. I hate it...

Actually if it's UHF/RF there's nothing, no matter how expensive you want to go, nothing'll work. Typically they can be switched between RF/IR, the issue was certain older models only had RF.
