I have the 900 and am trying to program a Toshiba DVD player that I no longer have the remote to. When I follow the instructions on programming I run in to a problem... here is the sequence...
S - DVD - enter 3 digit code (003) - Enter
well what happens is when I press S and all the buttons light up I then choose DVD. This is where something strange happens. DVD stays solid but VCR flashes at the same time. I am not even trying to program VCR. I have cleared both VCR and DVD but still have the same problem.
Iv'e tried ignorning it and programming as indicated but the code does not seem to work.
any suggestions?

Mike, either you or someone else changed the dvd to a second vcr. See page 33, to reset the dvd back to being a dvd.
