I've got an RM-AV2000 which is a couple of years old.
It has recently developed a fault whereby whenever I press any button, either on the screen or on a physical key, the remote appears to switch itself off, rather than perform the assigned function. If I re-try many, many times, the correct command will sometimes to be issued, but there appears to be no pattern as to how many presses this takes.
I have tried replacing the batteries, but this did not resolve the problem. Any other ideas?

Hmm, that's a very strange one, but I'm afraid nothing comes to mind. Perhaps a power issue? Cracked circuit board?
