Perhaps you can help. I am using an IR543 controller to operate my room lighting, which is controlled by WS467 wall switch modules. When I dim the lights at the IR543 controller unit, the dim speed is quick. When I use the Sony remote however, it takes quite some time to get down to a dim level. If I continually hit the dim button on the remote, it takes about 60-70 hits to eventually get to a dim level.
I noticed that when I'm in the TV mode, and I press the channel down, it emits a continuos stream, but in the lighting mode, it emits a quick pulse, hense, the need for 60-70 hits, and long delay.
I think that if I could reprogram the channel down in the lighting mode to a constant stream, I could be ok.
Any Ideas are appreciated.

If you are using the preset command and it doesn't work, then teach the command to the 3000 from your X10 remote, and BE SURE to hold the button down on the X10 remote until the 3000 beeps. This should give you a steady stream and speed up your dimming.

Ron,
Thanks for the quick response. I am using the preset on my remote. My problem is that I don't have any X10 remote to "learn" from, I would buy one to train my Sony, but I'm not sure which remote would have all of the X10 functions. I saw one that I thought might be good, but it was an RF remote, not IR.
Thanks,
Vincent

Go radio shack, pickup the 15-2103 for $13, use code AUX0167. Then take the remote back.:)

Thanks again,
I'm going to pick one up today, and I'll post a reply so others can know how it works out.
Very much appreciated,
Vincent

Worked like a charm! Thanks again. Now I am going to try to set "scenes".
