I am using a Sony RM-AV300 to control lighting via X10 switches. I hit the "Other" button until Lighting appears, then hit "Lighting", then I am in the correct mode to control everything.
My question is: Can I program the "Scene" label keys along the bottom to perform macros (if I'm not using the correct wording, I want the label key to perform 4-5 keystrokes with one tap)?
I thought I had done it once, but now I can't seem to remember how.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Vincent

You cannot make a true macro on these keys, but you can make a micro-macro. You should be able to get four keystrokes on the label key (if you are really fast), and maybe even five. If you have another remote that makes macros, you could make a macro on that and send it to the label key. Since the remote would send a macro faster than you can tap the keys, it would probably work better, but, as I said, you should be able to do it manually. See this thread [Link: remotecentral.com]

Thanks Ron,
I think I understand. Would you be able to post the keystrokes to accomplish that. I am definately doing something wrong. I checked the link you provided, but couldn't find any dtails on how to do it.
Thanks,
Vincent

Ron,
I got it. What I was doing wrong was keying in the sequence on the Sony I wanted to program. But when I used another remote to "teach" the sony in learn mode, it worked.
Thanks again,
Vincent
