I'm having a problem programming an AV3000 system control button where one of the commands is to power on SA Explorer 8000. I've inputted the "Power" button for Exp. 8000 as one command of a series to power up my system. When the AV3000 gets to this command, it always turns the Exp. 8000 on & off two or three times. Some considerations:
1. I had another SA digital cable box (2200) that operated correctly in the system control macro ("Power" button only).
2. The Exp. 8000 "Power" button operates normally (other than in the sys. control macro).
3. I experimented with just inputting the Exp. 8000 alone as a system control and this did not work either. Sometimes, the AV3000 added a command for the AMP "Power" even though I didn't add it.
4. I tried changing the interval and time for STB button and the system control button I was using. The problem persisted.
5. I tried clearing the system control button to ensure that no other commands were in there. Didn't help.
I think this is an AV3000 problem, not the Explorer 8000. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm having the exact problem but with my Pioneer DV-434 DVD player. The macro turns the player on and immediately turns if off within a second!

I followed the suggested steps from the URL Ron gave but the problem still persists.

I'm sure this is a big problem to you, but you don't have to post it in FOUR (4) different threads to get an answer. You will receive more attention in one thread than in four (or more) threads.
