WHAT KIND OF TV DO YOU HAVE, what remote are you using? Have you tried pressing channel up to get to the tv tuner then input however many times needed?
Any numbers assigned to the inputs in the menu?

I have a Olevia Syntax LT37HVS. Here's what I did for my Sony RM-VL900 and URC MX-500.

The LT37HVS can select inputs in two ways:

1. Press source then up and down to select correct input.
2. Press on of three buttons 'Component', 'HDMI/VGA' and 'TV/AV?' a number of times.

I use method two in my macros

Component 1 - 'HDMI/VGA' followed by 'Component'
Component 2 - 'HDMI/VGA' followed by 2x 'Component'
S-Video 1 (TiVo) - 'HDMI/VGA' followed by 4x 'TV/AV'
etc..

The first command is a different button than the final source button to ensure that it starts from the top of its associated list. I slowed down the macro operation a little to make it more reliable - works about 95% of the time. So if it doesn't work first time I envoke the macro again.
I also add the relevant amp input signal in each macro.

I mapped the macros onto the relevant component device buttons (Held for 1+ seconds).

I mapped power to a couple of fixed macro buttons as there is no relaiable way to power up/down the TV intelligently.

Hope this helps.
