Is there a code for a JVC XVN50BK DVD player for the sony AV2000 out there? The code book doesn't even show that JVC has a DVD player!!!

The code for a JVC DVD player is 07. If you don't have the codes and manual, click here to get them.

When I type in the code, the remote beeps at me...like it doesn't accept it. It accepts 03 and 04, but those codes don't work....

I don't know why it won't accept 07, but maybe Sony made an error when they sent me the code list. There were several years when Sony remotes did not recognize JVC components, for some unknown reason.
If you have the original remote, you will have to learn everything.

Yah the original remote was lossed in between moving somewhere. I located a replacement online but it was $34 and I thought that was a little steep for a basic control.

If you can get a cheap universal remote that you can return if it doesn't work, try that. Universal remotes usually have more preprogrammed commands because they don't have learning ability.
