I am contemplating purchasing a Sony RM-AV3100 remote to operate 6 units with InfraRed remotes plus one satellite receiver with UHF remote. Will I be able to program the RM-AV3100 to operate this unit?
Whoever reads this----which would you purchase---this Sony or the Sunwave SRC-3810? They are about the same price and seem similar.
Thank you

I'm reading this I wouldn't buy either, but that's just me, don't like touchscreens.:) If the SAT is strictly RF, then no universal remote will control it, but if its only the oem remote that is RF, where the receiver accepts both IR & RF, then most universal remote can control it.

Thanks a million. You saved my day!! I just programmed another IR remote and it does operate the Sat receiver ok, so I guess I'll order the Sony 3100 and give it a try.. Maybe I'll like the touch screen?? Do you have a serious objection or just didn't like it?

I use my remote as my mouse, for my webtv. I can't be looking at the remote all the time or juggling it in two hands. Alot of people like touchscreens.:)
