Is it possible to save an RM-AV3000s template to a file through some sort of a PC interface so that you could save every customers remote layout after your finished programming it? This would help tremendously for service calls where the remote looses its memory so you wouldn't have to start over. Crestron,AMX,& other companies have remote codes on there web sights so you can download for programming & then save entire layouts to a standard file on your PC. There's got to be a way to do this for the Sony 3000! Any ideas?

Gthat would be nice. Are you losing memory due to changing batteries? Do you know about the "20 second rule"

why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time!

No it's more about trying to educate the customer about changing the batteries at the first sign of dimming text or when the clock reset comes up & they call to say "I don't know why but my remote just quit working" & I come to find out that it's been dim & not doing the right thing for about 2 weeks until it finally quit working & it never occoured to them to change the batteries, well guess what, all your programming is history. I don't know why this can't be hard storage on the remote.

it is supposed to have a non volitale memory, but it has its quirks. its amazing that common sense doesnt take over when you can no longer see the screen(light)
cahange the batteries. I started leaving directions inside the batterie lid.

Guess what, as we speak my wife is saying that the bedroom remote keeps going back to the clock. I said have you thought about chinging the batteries? she said is that all that it needs. I give up.
