Do what this thread says. If you are still having problems, give more information, such as make and model of your components [Link: remotecentral.com]

ok, home theater system: Sony dav-fc8
satellite reciever: Samsung DIRECTV HDTV Receiver SIR-TS160
Tv: Samsung HLN5065

I used each component remotes to copy or learn to the sony rm-av 3000
and they work fine individually just wanted to know if I can turn them all off with one button
Thanks again!

You can make a macro to turn them on or off. If you don’t use discrete codes (I’ll give you a link to read and learn about them), then you will only need one macro, since the power commands will serve to turn the equipment on or off. The reason I needed to know what components you had is because the 3000 will turn on or off all Sony components, but of course this won’t help since you have some other brand components.

To make the macro (see page 31 of the manual):
Press commander off/muting
Press the system button you want to use (either one of the hard buttons, or one of the label buttons, which you can rename)
In whatever order you want, press the component button and then the power button, and repeat for each component
When you have finished this, if the last one you entered is not the component you want to be on, press that component button and then exit out of the learning sequence by holding Commander Off for 3 seconds.

Here is the link for discrete codes. These are handy because if you activate the macro to turn everything on, for example, if one component is already on it won’t turn off.
