I have successfully programed all of my other components (mostly using the learn function)but cannot get my receiver to respond to my Sony AV3000. I have tried the codes supplied with the AV3000 unit and even tried to "learn" the remote. The remote seemed to learn (i.e. one beep) but still did not control the receiver functions. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your receiver's oem remote is both a Two-way and RF remote. Can you even see a IR sensor on the front of your receiver? On some RF controlled receivers, disconnecting the RF antenna, enables the front IR sensor.

Thanks. I looked into it further and you got me on the right track. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to get a IR receiver. The unit only sends back an IR signal to the remote, it receives an RF signal.
