I have the following components: 32" Sony Wega TV Denon AVR 681(I think) Receiver Panasonic DVD Motorola Digital Cable Box
My question is if anybody has any experience with this remote and a Motorola or General Instruments digital box. Are all of the buttons that are usefull on the cable box remote preprogramed into the Sony Remote? Specifically the page up and down and the guide functions. Thanks.

I don’t have personal experience with the Motorola or GI digital cable box, but you should not have any problem. Motorola and GI use the same code (3103) in the AV3000. All the buttons you need will not be preprogrammed, but the AV3000 is a learning remote and is easy to program. If you have the original remote, and the functions you want are on it, they can be taught to the AV3000.

I have experience with both. I had the Motorola with Comcast Digital Cable, and I now have the GI box with Classic Digital Cable. It is true that both boxes use the same code, and yes you keep the page up/down option.
