Help! I have a Sony RM-VL900. I just bought a Denon DVD-2200 and the code for Denon DVD players, 006, doesn't seem to work. Neither does the search function. I have also tried "clearing" the DVD Component button, and then entering the code again (we had used the DVD component buttton for our old Sony DVD player, and it had worked fine). I also tried learning from the new Denon DVD remote to the Sony remote (tried to learn the Power On button from Denon to the Power button on the Sony remote, but didn't have any success with that either.
We also just installed digital cable. The cable box is a Motorola, which isn't listed on the list of components for cable boxes. Any ideas on how I might get this to work with the Sony remote? I'm desperately hoping I'm not going to need a new universal remote just because of these two new components. Any help would be much appreciated!

As for the cable box, Motorola = Scientific Atlanta = Jerrold. Try learning some other Denon codes, like Play.
