Hello
please help me, i got a RM-AV3000 and The codes from the list doesn't work with my sony-components really.
My components:
SaCD-Player: SCD-XB780QS
Amplifier: TA-FB940QS

If I try to use sony-codes I couldn't set the components ON or OFF and other things don't go.
What should I do?
Please help me!
And a second Question: Where to get a german manual for the RM-AV3000?

If you have the original remotes, you can learn the commands that are missing.
I couldn't figure out how to get a German manual, but here is a link to Sony in Germany [Link: shop.sonystyle-europe.com]

Does your original remote have a power on/off switch, or a power on/standby switch? Do you have to manually turn it on and off at the amp? If that is the case then you probably won’t be able to use the 3000 to turn it on/off. It is possible that you might be able to find discrete codes, but I doubt it. If you want to try, go here [Link: remotecentral.com] I am sorry I cannot help more, but I have tried to look up your amp on the German Sony site but cannot find out any info on it, and what little info I found was in German so I couldn’t understand it anyway.

ok, thanks Ron
I'll look it up tomorrow, cause i've to search for the original remote :)
I think I could ask sony for help, maybe they will know some more about it.
the only thing i sure know is that my amp has a little LED that can glow and next to it ther i can read "protected".
thats the same lamp that glows when my MD-Player (MDS-JB980) is in Standby-Mode. Maybe its some new information for you.

ok
today I made the remote-babe to do what I want her to do. lets look for a extra part that can swich on and off the amplifier, something that could be controlled by the rm-av 3000 :)
Only one further question: Is there a possibility to change the name of a button like cd ( if you push cd then there will sing in the upper left corner "cd" and I want that i can read there "SACD/CD")?

Matthias

PS: If someone could give me a german Manual for the RM-AV3000 please do so, but a pdf-file of the english one would help me a little bit, too.

You can change the label. I think you meant “upper right corner” because that is where the cd label is, next to the power button. To change the hard button component label
Commander off/muting
Set
Label
Compo
CD button
Then, press and hold the cd name in the upper right hand corner for 2-3 seconds
The screen will change to the label mode
Use the letter/number keys to change the label
Be SURE to press Return (on the right side of the screen) when done, to save the changes

Go here for the pdf file [Link: sonymods.com]
If you have a problem with this site, give me your email address and I will send you a pdf file copy by email

I sent you the codes and manual by email. I don't know enough about MD players to answer your question. it. Maybe someone else can help here.
