I'd like to know if the AV3000 can learn from another Sony remote: I just bought a Sony 5-disc DVD changer, and it does have a disc skip button. Also, there's a series of functions for my Sony AV receiver's remote that would be nice to program in. I guess what I'm saying is 'can I bypass the stock Sony settings and custom-learn the component remotes?' Anyone care to take a stab?

When you buy a learning remote, it will learn. The AV3000 is a learning remote. It will learn fron any IR remote. See page 19 of the manual for learning procedures.

Thanks, Ron - I'll check that out.
