Okay... so I programmed in my DVD player. I am cycling through the menus on the DVD, up, down, left, right... etc... But I noticed that when I press up, the remote wont let me send any other signals for a few seconds; while if I press down, I can immediately press another button on the remote.
Why is this? Shouldnt the remote just send the signal out at the speed of light and just be done with it? Why does it need 3 seconds?
The only reason it should need 3 seconds is if I hold the button (which I am upset that the controller is not letting me do; I had no problems doing this with he 2100).

What kind of dvd player? Have you tried deleting the command, and then learning it again by holding the key on the original remote down until the 3000 beeps? If down works, then up should work also.

Its got nothign to do with my DVD player... its a general remote button problem. Whether I tap the button or hold the button during learning really makes no difference; sometimes the signal still sticks for 3 seconds.

If you teach it to another button, does it still stick?
