I have a Sensory Science Go Video 9650 Dual Deck VCR... simple question. In order to get to the advanced menu settings with this model you need to press and HOLD the menu button (just pressing it brings you to the simple menu settings). But when I press and hold the menu button on the av3000, it does not continually send the signal. Just sends it once.

You can do this one of two ways. These will also work for other keys that need to be repeated when held down.

1. If you have another remote that sends macro’s, make a macro key with the menu button pressed about 10 times. Then, send this macro to the 3000 until the 3000 beeps. Now the key will repeat when you hold it down, or act as a single press when you press it once.

2. If you don’t have another remote, hold the original remote opposite the 3000, and press the menu button as fast as you can until the 3000 beeps. This works, but not as well as the first method, because I find this method will send more than one signal even if the key is only pressed once. This may not matter on the menu command you want, but if it does, then you will have to use another key on the 3000, meaning you will have 2 menu keys, 1 for a single press, and the other for the press and hold function.
