Last week, I programmed the "STB" button to control my TiVo II with code 3202. All seemed okay.

I picked up the remote last night, hit "STB" and the screen doesn't look like TiVo [no thumbs buttons, etc.]. Additionally, no buttons affected TiVo functionality.

So, I reset the STB button and reprogrammed to 3202.
Same issue. Tried again; same problem.

What am I missing? Thanks.

I don’t know what happened to your STB screen to cause it to change. If the 3202 code is accepted it should work. Check the code (if you have any learned commands you will have to delete them to check the code):
Commander off/muting
Preset
STB
Code 3202 should blink. If it is blinking then you have the right code. Remember, when setting the code, be sure to press “Enter” after entering the code.

I got a heads-up from one of the experts in this
forum, so I read your thread again, and have a
question. In your first sentence you said you
programmed it with Code 3202 (which is the Philips
code) and all was well. Did that mean it controlled
the T60? Or did you use 3201 first, which also
gives the Thumbs+/- buttons and is the code for
Sony DVR's? If not, then that is probably the
one you should use.

Okay. I tried again. 3201 does NOT work with the TiVo II... 3202 DOES work.

Solution: Looks like I "forgot" to press Enter when programming. Thanks guys.
