i have a sony dream machine (receiver and dvd player in one), a sony dvpns725p dvd player, and a sony 60xbr800 tv. the receiver remote turns on the dvd player and vice versa.
it's all confused. same with my sony tv sometimes.
not sure if there's anything that can be done...
help please!

need more info. what remote? jUST THE RECIEVER AND tv REMOTE? Do you have a 3000 remoe?

why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time! |

both my sony dream machine receiver and the sony dvpns725p dvd player conflict. the remotes are the ones that came with it. i don't have a separate universal remote.
the issue is that both the receiver and dvd player remotes claim to have universal sony compatibility.
so when i turn on the dvd player...the receiver turns on as well. when i press fast forward for the dvd player...the receiver reacts the same way.
so annoying. anything i can do?

With the remotes you have, no. If you had a pronto or HTM MX-800, yes.
