Daewoo DVD (DVG-3000N) isn't listed in the av2100 code table.
So I tried searching for the code through the remote (commander + mute -> dvd -> ch+ + ch- + power). The delima was that I was supposed to wait for the dvd to power on or off but the daewoo has manual on/off button. so I couldn't get to do the searching code successfully.
I also tried learning the remote feature but it didn't work either.
BTW, I did try searching the forum hoping to find the answer but I haven't had much luck...
Can anyone tell me how to do it, or what i'm doing wrong?
I would appreciate any help i can get. thanks!!

You can use another button to test the search feature if the power button doesn't work. Try the play button or whatever other button you know will work when pressed. You wrote above "ch+ +ch- +power, which is wrong. You press EITHER ch+ or ch-, not both, and whichever one you choose first, keep using that one in your search, so you can cycle through all the search codes. You should not have a problem learning from the original remote, as far as I know. Tell me the exact steps you are using to put the 2100 in learn mode if you are still having a problem. To learn: Press and hold Commander Off/Press the component button (DVD in this case) The keys which have not learned a command will flash-press one Hold original remote opposite and press button The 2100 will beep and the command is learned Repeat as necessary

If you found a code for the Daewoo DVD, would you mind telling us? Or did you mean the learning procedure worked? If you did find a code, it might save someone else a lot of time looking for one. To find out which code is set: Commander off/muting Press the DVD button Press the display key-the code number and enter will appear twice

After the code searching, I found out the code # was 003. Once the search was completed, then I had to learn/teach the remote all function keys. I also noticed that, although the dvd did recognized the remote after the search was done, none of the fuction buttons really worked until I completed the learn-keys.
Sicne the Daewoo dvd had a MANUAL on/off switch, I couldn't use the power button. So I had to use the Display button in stead (many thanks go to Ron A. for his advice). So here're the steps I took... "Command + mute -> DVD -> Ch+ + Display". I waited for about 30 secs or so. Then the code # (003) came up. So I pressed "Enter -> 003 -> Enter" to complete it.
From then on, I had the remote learned the Daewoo remote keys. I followed instructions in the manual.
