Hi all, I finally got my RM-VL900 and love it. I am trying to program the mute button from the TV and the Reveiver onto the same buttom on the 900. Can i do this ?? I think it is called a Macro but the directions are so poor I can;t figure it out. I want to hit the mute button on the 900 and both the receiver and TV will mute. Help !!!

This is called a micro-macro. Put the VL900 in learn mode, press the mute button, then press the mute buttons on the tv and receiver remotes really quickly and you can teach two commands to one button. May take a little practice, but it can be done. If you have another remote that makes macro’s, you can make a macro of both buttons and send them to the 900. There are no directions for micro-macros, it is just a little trick to make better use of your remote.

The codes for my cable box Explorer 2000 are 009, 010, 011.
They don't work. Any ideas?
Even the search didn't work.

Even the search didn't work. You first need to change the CBL/SAT key from SAT to CABLE, then the cable codes should. To change; 1. press S, do not hold 2. press CBL/SAT 3. press PLAY + 9

Help! I have a Sony RM-VL900. I just bought a Denon DVD-2200 and the code for Denon DVD players, 006, doesn't seem to work. Neither does the search function. I have also tried "clearing" the DVD Component button, and then entering the code again (the DVD component buttton had previously been used on our old Sony DVD player, which crashed). I also tried learning from the new Denon DVD remote to the Sony remote (tried to learn the Power On button from Denon to the Power button on the Sony remote, but didn't have any success with that either.
We also just installed digital cable. The cable box is a Motorola, which isn't listed on the list of components for cable boxes. Any ideas on how I might get this to work? I'm desperately hoping I'm not going to need a new universal remote just because of these two new components. Any help would be much appreciated!
