Hi,

I currently have a SONY RM-AV2100T and when I saw the 3000 was very interested.
I have been wading through the material on SONY remote RM-AV3000. I was all set to make a purchase when I noticed that some are being sold as RM-AV3000 and others as RM-AV3000 T. Is there any dirrerence in these two models?? What is the significance of the "T".

I can see two obvious differences, being the symbolic Mute and recall labels on the "T" model as opposed to the text labels on the Non "T" version.

Is the hardware tweaked on the "T"?

You web site is very helpful and I have found the reviews very in-depth (originally read about my 2100 here).

Hope you can help me out here,

Check out this thread. The T on the 3000 means it is a European model, and the T on the 2100 means it can learn from another 2100 with the T mark-two different things. [Link: remotecentral.com]

HI, I'm in Tokyo on business at the moment and am thinking of purchasing AV3000. The local model number is RM-AV3000U. Can anybody let me know what the U stands for? I will be using it in Australia, don't see a problem other than manuals are Japanese only, but can download English from web...

Anybody any thoughts on problems I might run into?

Thanks,
TV

"U" probably means Japanese version, like "T" means European/Australian version. The product might not be idential to other versions.
