Sorry for the hyperbole, but you can imagine my shock when my newly purchased AV3000 will not operate my 444es and cx400Mega....
I know the 444es is special because of the two-way, but i never imagined av3000 would have less capability than my $10 2104!!! Same goes for the cx400 mega changer....cant even change discs.
Can anyone point me in the right direction??? My reciever is on AV1. Do I need to go to AV2 and program everything?? Is/was anybody in the same situation as me??
Why Sony, why?? I love my V444ES, I would hate to find an excuse to get a new reciever.......

If the receiver is set to AV1 then the 3000 should control it, but it won’t have everything preset, which is why the 3000 is a high capacity learning remote. You need to have BOTH the remote and the receiver set to AV1 for the 3000 to learn commands and control the receiver. AV2 will NOT work. For the other one-learn the commands.
