I have had no luck finding the code to program my sony dvd/vcr combo 001 seems to be all that sony will publish. Is there a different code? This site is the most useful I have ever been to. Good job! I hope some one will help me. By the way my remote is rm-vl900.
Thanks again

Sony is using a new code set on their combos, so remote older then NEXT year won't have the a code, You'll have to teach it the commands from the combo's remote.

Since Sony is using a new code set for their combo's, as edmund said above, the discrete codes normally used with RS/OFA remotes probably won't work. If you want to test this and have one of these remotes, the discretes for Sony products are 113 on, and 109 off. If you don’t have the remote, you could go to RS, borrow a remote, and send the discretes to your learning remote and test them when you get home. I don’t think they will work, though, because of the new code set. If you try this, let me know what happens.

A very long work-around for this is to do the commands in this order -

Power Toggle
DVD select
Power Toggle
DVD Select
Eject
Eject
(add a power here for discrete off)
If anyone comes up with anything else please let me know, [email protected]
