I have programmed a macro - but when all power is off and then I execute a macro, my dvd player flickers on for a second, but then stays off. What's up with that?

Sounds like you may have pressed the Power button too hard when you made the macro. This will cause the command to repeat, which will turn the DVD on and then off. When I load macro's, I use a stylus or the rounded end of a ball point pen cap and press each key lightly. If this is not the case, furnish complete information. What kind of DVD? Exactly how did you load the macro (each step in the exact order you loaded them).

Hi guys,

yeah, I have a Sony DVD player. I created a macro to turn all my gear off and used the DVDs "Power OFF" option on the RM-AV2100T (Power OFF only appears when programming macros on this remote).

I see exactly what fullflava sees.

Cheers,
Max

Is it plugged into your reciever? If it is, it is not "powered on long enough to get the power on signal.
Plug it into the wall, use "play for discrete on"
Or enable the "power on " feature for the DVD. (on the 3000) then do your regular macro, the power on will be executed firsdt follwed by the rest of the macro.

why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time!

Sorry,

I have misunderstood the original question.

What I see:

When my SONY DVD player is OFF and I send it a discreet OFF (my shutdown all macro), it comes on for a second, then goes off again.

The discreet OFF is not one I have learnt, and was used by programming a macro which contained "POWER OFF" for the DVD.

Cheers,
Max
