I have recently purchased a universal remote Sony RM-V401 and have everything I want programmed except for my Dish network. Cannot seem to get a code to work on it. Any helpers out there with a code that may work? The one suggested was 476 but to no avail. Thanks for any helpers.

Some Dish remote are RF only not IR. Look at your Dish
remote, if it says "UHF" on it , then that is your problem. Your sat reciever may only accept RF signals
or it is set for RF only, Get into the menu and see if
ther is a remote setup feature.
I'm not reAL FAMILIAR with dish equip, but direct TV
recievers are different depending on make. Sony's IR or RF (one or the other) RCA IR and RF at same time.
