I am dying and I am extremely disappointed in this remote. I bought it assuming it would control my dream system and I am struggling with how I am going to make it work. The power on/off function on the dreamsystem is not recognized unless I learn it and the tech told me to set it up as an AMP and not a DVD. Can anyone help me. I wanna throw this thing through the window of sony HQ in NJ for false advertising. I am concerned that this thing will never work right with the DS.

All new sony receivers and systems are using a new code set, so new not even their remotes have a preprogrammed code for it. The receivers can be changed to the old code, but the systems can not. The only thing for you to do is teach it, sorry.
