Hi All,
I have a few questions. First what happens to all these programmed settings when the batteries die...do I have to preprogram any macros or codes for devices that are not originally programmed?

Secondly, I heard that there is a program for infra-red PDA's that allows you to use them as remote controls...anyone know if this is any good?

Thirdly, if I am to buy one of these things...which should I buy? I just spent a fortune on my home theatre and so don't want to go too crazy, on the other hand I have a bunch of remotes lying around...this is what I have:

TV: Sony 34XBR800
DVD: Panasonic progressive scan
Receiver: Denon (not sure which, no component video switiching)
Cable Box (forgot the make)
VCR: JVC currently

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
helhalfa

The palm remote program is call, OmniRemote. The latest version is 2.02. It can be located on the web page http://www.pacificneotek.com. This program really works. It learns the fuctions of your controls and allows you to control what ever device you have that is ir compatible. One great feature it has, allows you to customise and name your buttons. This allows you to be able to design how your remote looks and fills.
