I received my AV3000 yesterday. Nice remote. However, I do have a couple of programming snags:
1. I have a component macro that requires a channel be tuned on the TV. This is done simply by entering 2 digits (no enter). From what I can see, it is entering everything twice. For example, if I select channel 24, when I run the macro, it hits 24, but then it hits 4 one or two more times and I get 44. This is frustrating. Might this have to do with the SYSDELAY setting or something else?? It does it for all of my channel tuning functions. TV is a ProScan.
2. I have a system macro with 5 steps. I need to change the 4th step and delete the 5th. I cleared the system macro by [DEL] + System1. I got the confirmation beep. Then, I go back through and program the new steps and save. When the macro 'plays back to confirm, I can see that it is now correct and only 4 steps long. However, when I run the maco, I get the old 5 step macro. Does anybody have any idea about this?
Thanks very much!

Mike For the second part of your question, as a installer I have ran into the same problem on several 3000 remotes. Do this, commmander off, muting, set, reset, system, then whatever function is giving you the problem. Just deleting the systrm doesent seem to work. Good luck. cb1

Hi Mike, Wish I could help with your first question. I seem to be having the same problem...macro repeating command twice. I'm trying to power up my amp and it seems to turn it on and off again. I tried changing sysdelay and no change. I also tried putting a pause in with the timer button..but no luck. If you've figured this out by now, please share the solution. Thanks, Greg Y.

When I first was programing my remote several months ago I was teaching it by pressing and releasing the teaching remote buttons before I got the confirmation beep from the AV3000. This would double cycle that button in macros only. During normall button execution this double button pressed was not present. Could this be your problem.
Thanks cb1 for your answer it also helped me with the same type of problem.

Thanks Rod. I might have been doing that without really thinking about it. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

That did the trick. I reprogrammed the keypad for the TV and rebuilt the macro and it works. It's a good thing there is a resource like this, because I never would have figured it out on my own!
