Has anyone compared the performance of these two remotes IRL? The RemoteCentral review indicates the RM-VL700 is a little slower, but I'd like to know if others have encountered this.
I only have four components (TV, VCR, DVD, Philips DirecTivo), so I don't need the extra component control the RM-VL900 has, but I don't want a "slow" remote.
Also, if anyone has good suggestions for how to map the "8-second back" and "30-second advance" features of the Tivo on either of these remotes, please let me know. I know they can be learned, I'm just not sure what button would be a good choice ergomically.
