I just bought and am not happy with a Home Theater Master SL-9000...
Everything I own is sony except for the TV which is a Panasonic.. The rest of what I have is: *300 disk DVD *CD *Reviever *VCR *RCA direct TV reciever
What I would like to get if possible is the following: Have some one hit power and be albe to run everything without haveing a degree in remotes.. I can deal but others can't.
Lets say this: Turn on Direct TV, Reviever in Surround sound mode on TV, turn on TV, and go.. From here be able to turn up TV volume, use Direct TV guide, channels, ect.
Then be able to hit DVD and have audio change to Video and change the volume to Audio instead of TV.. and be able to use all the DVD menu functions..
Then maybe even be able to hit Audio and have the reciever turn off the Surround sound, and go to tuner
Is this possible with this remote, or is it a pipe dream...
Thanks for your response..

Don't waste your money on this remote, it has one big flaw. There is no separate directional and transport buttons. If you use a DVD player, you are in big trouble with this remote, also TIVO.
Get the MX-500 or the Sony VL900 remote. They will do what you want them to do. The MX-500 is made by Home Theate Master as well but superior to anything in its price range for what it can do. Read the review on this site. The Sony VL900 is a classic and better designed than the SL9000.
