Does anyone know the Sony remote RM-VL900 component code for the Sony home theatre system DAV-C770?

Seeing as both are Sony, I'd have expected there was an obvious code that worked. But no. And when I try to teach it, I can get several of the keys programmed, but I'm unable to assign devices to the AMP buttons - the numbered keys in the blue AMP area.

Thanks.

Further to my last Post: on the DAV-C770, the method for selecting the various devices is through toggling a single Function key. I'd like to have each device selectable on a separate key on the remote, such as the device keys in the ealier mentioned blue area intended for AMP control.

You need to change your DAV-C770, from AV2 to AV1, then the VL900 will control it. AV2 is a new code set, no remotes know it. Check your manual, also check this thread;

Many thanks, but I'm not clear as to what you mean. Specifically, what do you mean by AV2 and AV1?

The DAV-C770 is a combination DVD and AMP/Receiver.

Look up "Command Mode" in your manual, what does it say about changing modes. I took a close up view of your remote. on the side theres a slide switch with a setting called "command mode". Meaning there seems to be more then one. If you can change, you'll need to change both receiver and remote.
