You know, it's funny... I don't understand why there are no codes for Amps in this manual. The "System Off" button on this remote will turn OFF my Sony amp just fine, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to turn the amp ON.
It's strange that other Sony All-In-One remotes I've used control amps just fine. Why wouldn't this All-In-One that came with my WEGA work too? Do I have to go buy yet ANOTHER damned remote??? I mean, c'mon folks.
If anyone can help me, I sure would appreciate it. Their customer support isn't much help at all.
Thanks
Cary

Have you tried using your Sony Amp remote to reprogram the power button?

Most Sony OEM remotes (ie. the ones that come with TVs or VCRs) will NOT control audio components. The only reason "System Off" works in this case is because it sends out a generic "turn off" code that your receiver just happens to respond do (some don't). If you want to fully control everything, you need to buy a proper universal remote. The ones that come with components are only designed to control THAT component, and sometimes a few functions from something else.
