I have a RM-AV3000 and would like to make a macro for system power down. If say, the amp was already turned off manually by someone then the system power down macro was used, would the amp then power up? Is this why people use discreet on/off commands? Do you need a certain amp to support this? This is all new to me and I'm trying to comprehend all that's going on...thanks, Larry

If you use normal commands, yes.

commands?

Yes.

Do you need a certain amp to support
this?

Some support discrete commands, some don't. Of those that do, many don't include these codes on the factory remote, so some other method of obtaining them is required.
