I have a Sony RM-VL900. I appear to be locked on "aux" and can't get to my regular cable input. Using a Sony Trinitron. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

I don't think the VL900 comes with the ANT/AUX code; use your TV's original remote control (might be in the on-screen menus as well).

The original remote is long gone/broken. While fiddling with the 900, I accidentally hit a series of buttons which got it to "Aux" instead of "Ant"...Not sure what that series is/or was - and how to undo it.!

NOT SURE IF I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND YOUR PROBLEM, BUT ON MY SONY RPTV, SIMPLY HITTING THE "CHANNEL UP" OR "CHANNEL DOWN" BUTTON ON MY REMOTE (RM AV3000)WILL MOVE MY INPUT SELECTION FROM "VIDEO 1", "2", ETC...TO THE CABLE/ANT INPUT. HOPE THIS HELPS.

All you need to do is press the "TV/VIDEO" button. If it doesn't work. you might have taught over it with another command. Even if you did, you can still change inputs on a sony tv.While holding down the tv/video, press "0" for tuner, and "1" for video or aux.

NOTE: EDITED REPLY. The AUX input is completely different from the TV/VIDEO inputs. Changing the channel will only result in a channel change in the AUX input mode only. You need to find the Antenna/Aux input in your operating manual, or you can go to the TV store and copy the AUX button from another Sony remote to your remote, OR you can get a 0ne-For-All and send the discrete code (112 for antenna-aux) to your remote. Basically, the only way to get in or out of the AUX mode is by using the Antenna/Aux key, because you are changing ANTENNA inputs and not video inputs. You may have gone into the TV menu and activated the Channel Lock for Aux2, which will also prevent you from getting out of Aux 2. If this is the case, change the Channel Lock back to OFF.
