Folks,
Please help me with this one. I changed the batteries, now the screen is fragmented and slowly fades completely out when the light button is hit. The screen actually looks like the "full display" pictures on p. 73 of the owners manual. If you hold any component select button, that screen becomes complete again. The remote itself is functional...as long as you remember what & where each select button is...and you use it, it works!!!! But I have no full screen for any component button. SC-1 & SC-2 are both fully functional;amp & volume up & down are fully functional. I'm lost..someone please help:I'm actually lost without this thing. I have never had a problem with this remote; I have actually given them as presents to all 4 kids. Thanks Bob Walters

I recently opened a package of brand new Duracell alkalines and found that they were 50% discharged. Maybe this is your problem - did you try a different set of batteries?
