System Control #1 turns every SONY component off, but I have other manufacturer's components too. So, I'd like to reprogram this "ALL OFF" macro. BUT, I've had no luck DELETING or RESETTING this macro.
Any ideas? TIA, Scott.

You must delete the macro in macro recording mode, you can't "reset" it, since that resets it back to the factory default.

Spoke with Sony. Got a quick response that works. Press Commander off and Muting. Then press flashing "system" key. Then, press the "DEL" key at the same time as the button you want to clear. The timing of this is a bit critical - keep trying it til you get a longer beep. I erased the presets on System 1 and System 3, no problem.

Timing should't be a problem, simply hold DEL and press the button to reset.

Great Info guys. I love this site! I just purchased the sony 3000 and the ponto 2000 (one for the bedroom and one for living room. The pronto would not control my Yamaha receiver nor my Motorola digital cable box (I tried all the codes). The sony controls everything without learning each component separately. The only thing was that I was not able to reprogram the macros for sys 1 and sys 2 buttons(because the manual is wrong). But thanks to this board I got the right info and now have it up and running. I do have one question that I will post elsewhere new, (in case it gets buried here).
Can you re-label the soft LCD buttons under a component on the sony 3000? For example, on my Yamaha receiver when you touch the phono button it actually switches to the vcr input on the Yamaha. This is ok since I don't just the phono input but it would be better if I could re-label the button to say vcr instead of phono. No other button actives the vcr input so its use phono or custom program a vcr input and hide the phono button. Unless someone knows of a better way?
Thanks in advance

My Yamaha receiver remote has a seperate button for power on and power off. Is there a way to incorporate both of these functions into the amp Power On LCD button on the AV3000?
