Has anyone experienced difficulty getting the volume button to repeat if it has been "learned". Simply stated, I cannot scroll volume by holding onto the volume key. I just upgraded remotes and didn't have this problem with the AV2100. The Sony folks really weren't able to help me.

Did you try holding the teaching remote key down until the AV3000 beeped? Sometimes a short learning time will cause this problem. Is your problem with both Volume "up" and Volume "down" keys, or just one?

Thanks so much, Ron, for your reply. The problem is both with volume up and volume down. I contacted the Sony help desk. They told me that Sony removed the repeat function on the volume on this unit. ..Finding that hard to believe I went back for validation... I received a follow up note confirming this. He said that he could not get a reason for why it was removed but assured me that this was the case.
I still don't believe it. This is such a fundamental function. What has been your experience with the AV3000...doest the volume repeat?
Many thanks........Brian

I've certainly got the volume repeating for both my TV and A/V amp. When I "taught" the AV3000 from the original component remotes, I just held down the volume key on the original until the AV3000 beeped. That seemed to do the trick. I guess this assumes your original remote supports volume repeat.

Sony removed the repeat function on the volume on this unit That's like buying a car and finding out you have to pump the gas pedal every 5 seconds for it to go. :-)
