Remotes are the focus, but the TV processes the remote info and therefore is the root limiting factor for advanced codes. Gut feels are usually wrong, but I have a gut feel the TV can process more advanced codes than are out there on the remote that came with the TV or advanced codes list 0000 at
[Link: hifi-remote.com]Since I can use various schemas with remotes to send advanced codes to the TV, then what is the TV programmed to interpret regardless of remote?
Problem: Menu->Video->Mode has an advanced code (003). Is there an advanced code to go to a specific sub-menu of MODE (standard, sports, vivid, movie)?
The MODE code (003) is just a toggle code. Using the arrow keys (right) to go to the submenu puts you at the current mode (of the four) rather than a known starting point (such as top of sub-menu). Therefore, arrow keys can't be used in conjunction with MODE code to choose one of the four canned picture modes.
Other than what is in the tv advanced codes in 0000, does anyone know if the TV itself can go to submenu levels thru codes. I understand that it may not be able to process past a "toggle" mode, but I don't know for sure.
Thanks,
Ross
