I recieved a AV3000 a few days ago and had a question. Is it possible to use the volume for the AMP instead of the TV while on the DVD page? I know it can be done with everything but only wanted it for the DVD page.
Thanks,
Tim

Just teach the volume controls from your AMP to the volume controls on the DVD page of your AV3000. You will have to turn off the TV speakers manually through the menu, or turn the volume down to zero. If you have a Sony TV, you can get a Oneforall or Radio Shack remote and teach the discrete code for speakers on/off to another key on the DVD page (the code is 098). If you have another brand TV, you may be able to obtain the discrete code required.

I would assume you could reprogram the hard volume keys to control your amp rather than TV by learning the function from your amp's remote control (i.e., delete the programming for the volume keys, then learn from the amp's remote). I haven't tried this to see if the "learning" would stick only when in "DVD mode", so maybe more experienced AV3000 users can verify this to be true.

Hey thanks guys that worked great. I thought that would be more of a global change.
Thanks again,
